- No single person or organization determines what is art
- Creativity is accessible to everyone
- Create freely without attachment or preconceived ideas

The Critic: Part II
- Make an alley of your inner critic.
- Set firm boundaries and do not expect others to support your endeavors
- Be selective of who you turn to for criticism or feedback
- Avoid entering contests or shows until you are confident in your purpose
- You are who you should be seeking support and acceptance from
- Choose grounded people as allies who are doing their lives and their art in a balanced way
- Ensure that you trust and are attracted to perspective of your support group, mentor, and art partner
- Don’t make others’ feedback you entire reality
